about
i live in India. i have a job.
i solve problems that happen at my work && get assigned to me
sometimes create new ones
then solve those too
what i actually do
at work
distributed systems
debug production
document
make apis that don’t randomly return 500s (revolutionary concept)
optimize things that were already fast enough
convinced to use kubernetes when total_user > 5
occasionally touch grass between deployments
stare Jira :(
stuff i break things with
python when i want it done
javascript when i hate myself
fastapi for apis that actually scale
docker because “works on my machine” isn’t a deployment strategy
kubernetes when docker containers get lonely
gcp when aws bills scare me
react when the backend isn’t enough suffering
go when python feels too slow (rarely)
mongodb for schema-less chaos
sql when i need actual data integrity
kafka for event streams i’ll regret later
redis for caching problems i created
prometheus to watch things break in real-time
grafana to make those breakdowns look pretty
microservices because monoliths were too simple
occasionally
write code that makes senior devs say “wait that actually works?”
ship
fix bugs that only happen in prod
pretend i understand
read documentation (ctrl+f is reading)
when not at work
chess
run
weight training
music
movies (comedy, politics, war …)
drive (only automatics)
equity markets
